Lincoln County Dog project is the 4-H place for you and your pup!

Do you want to be part of the Lincoln County 4-H dog project, participate in training and show at the fair?   Here’s how!

  1. Be enrolled in Lincoln County 4-H
  2. When selecting projects, choose “Dogs”
  3. Attend the Dog Project Orientation meeting (May 16th)
  4. Attend dog trainings (as many as you can/want – Mondays, June 6 – August 1)
  5. Sign up for showing at the fair (deadline July 15)
  6. Show at the Dog Show Fair Event (Aug 13th – Sunday before the fair)
  7. HAVE FUN!

A packet with the information below about this year’s orientation meeting and training schedule was mailed to all enrolled 4-H dog project members and leaders on May 4th.  If you didn’t get it or if you need copies, there are links to all the paperwork below.  There will also be copies of all the paperwork at  If you have any questions, call Bridie Maas (715-218-0706), Mark McDonald (715-551-3840) or the UW-Extension office at (715-539-1072).  They would be happy to help you.

2022 Dog Project Registration Form – This form needs to be filled out for each dog.

Dog Project Code of Conduct – REQUIRED! Every youth participating in the dog project needs to sign this.

.Results from 2017 Lincoln County Fair Dog Show

Thank you to the following individuals who provide leadership for the Lincoln County 4-H Dog Project: Amanda Barkley; Tina and Jess Dengel; Joy, Lee and Turner Erath; Bridie and Brianna Maas; Mark McDonald; and Erin, Jubilee and Titus Morgan.

The 4-H Dog Project would like to thank Dr. Jeffry Mills at Countryside Animal Hospital for sponsoring the trophies and medallions.  Also to Kwik Trip, County Market and Holiday Gas Station for their donations.  And thank you to the Lincoln County Humane Society for the use of their fenced in area.

Congratulations to all of the youth that participated in this year’s Lincoln County Fair Dog Show held on Saturday, July 29th in the Lincoln County Humane Society area at the Merrill Festival Grounds.

4-H Dog Project Members and their dog(s) have the opportunity to take part in weekly trainings from May until the Lincoln County Fair.  During the trainings, youth and their dog practice agility, obedience, rally obedience and showmanship.  More information about next year’s trainings will be posted in late March/early April.
