Title IX Training – Required for all 4-H Volunteers

Starting this year, all 4-H Volunteers are required to report incidents of sexual misconduct that take place in Extension programs and Title IX training on how to report concerns is required to be completed before volunteers can be approved.

How to check if you need the training:

  • Log into you 4-H Online account
  • On the Member List, to the right of your name will be a column that shows your registration status
  • If you need to complete trainings, it will have a blue link that says “Continue Training”
  • Click on the blue link
  • You will be shown the trainings you still need to complete
  • In this example, the volunteer has completed the first two trainings, but still needs to complete the Title IX Training.
  • DO NOT click on that link it will run you in circles. Instead, follow the instructions below.

To take the training:

  • Go to: https://youthtraining.compliance.wisc.edu/ (This will open the page in a new tab!)
    • Computer Users: Use “Click Here to Start” in the Training Instructions or “Section 1” on the red bar at the top of the page.
    • Phone or Tablet Users: Click on “Menu” in the red bar at the top of the screen.
  • If this is the first time you or any volunteer registered under your family account are taking the training, fill out the “New Users” section.
  • If a different volunteer registered under your family account has already completed the training, use the “Returning Users” Log In.

Important Notes:

  • 4-H Volunteers only need to complete Section 1 and Section 2. DO NOT complete Section 3
  • The training is best taken on a computer. If you are using a phone or tablet (or if you are having trouble viewing the training), click on the blue button labeled “Launch Accessible Version”. This will give you a text version of the training that you can easily read through. Again, as a 4-H volunteer, you only need to complete Section 1 and Section 2.
  • If you completed the text version of the training: You need to email oc.compliancetraining@wisc.edu to let them know you have completed the training. Please include:
    • Your first and last name
    • That you completed the training for 4-H
    • The email address that you registered for the training with (which should be the family address in 4HOnline)
  • If there is more than one volunteer registered under your family account in 4HOnline: You need to email oc.compliancetraining@wisc.edu to let them know you have completed the training. Please include:
    • The first and last name of all the volunteers who completed the training. Just send one email with a list of all who took the training.
