STEM Workshops with PBS Wisconsin Education Team

Join the Langlade & Lincoln County 4-H Ambassadors as they team with the PBS Wisconsin Education Team to present 2 virtual STEM workshops. 


You’re A Star –  Tuesday, March 30, 10 – 11 am

Youth in Grades 5K-2

Want to learn more about Black Space Scientists, PBS KIDS, and participate in a hands-on, building activity? Join Mouna Algahaithi from PBS Wisconsin as she leads families together through an interactive workshop. We will read together, watch a brief PBS KIDS episode related to the theme, and build a spacesuit for our own stuffed animal while celebrating the accomplishments of important Black science figures! Make sure to bring your little one(s) and your favorite stuffed animal along for the mission!

Parachute Parade – Tuesday, March 23, 2021, 6:30 – 7:30 pm

Youth in Grades 3-6

Have you ever seen a parachute or wished you could parachute and glide smoothly through the sky?

Skydivers rely on parachutes to slow them down as they fall from frightening heights!  Join Jessi Nixon from PBS Wisconsin and create your own parachute!  We will practice STEM skills and compete for the best parachute.  Be sure to bring a small toy figure!
